Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounting manager to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $65.00 to $70.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
* Execute month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
* Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with US GAAP standards.
* Manage inventory accounting processes, including physical counts, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
* Assist with SOX implementation and collaborate with external auditors during audits.
* Oversee intercompany transactions and financial consolidations for multiple entities.
Requirements:
* Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle ERP systems and advanced Excel functions.
* Apply strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold analysis.
* Utilize experience in consumer goods or CPG industry for accurate reporting and compliance.
* Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and present financial data to leadership.
* Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting exposure.
* Possess expertise in US GAAP and best practices for financial reporting and internal controls.
* Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Operate with a positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to build strong team relationships.
