About the Position:
A high-profile family in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, is seeking a professional, trustworthy, and detail-oriented full-time housekeeper to care for their large 8,000 sq. ft. townhouse. While the home is expansive, only the regularly lived-in and frequently used spaces require daily servicing. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and capable of moving efficiently throughout a multilevel home. They must communicate clearly, adjust quickly to direction, and retain household preferences, routines, and standards.
Responsibilities:
* Perform deep cleaning and daily upkeep of lived-in rooms and common areas.
* Manage all household laundry, including washing, folding, organizing, and handling delicate items.
* Iron clothing and household linens as needed.
* Maintain closets, wardrobes, and storage areas to a high standard of organization.
* Prepare and organize after-school items for the family's 7-year-old (e.g., ensuring swim gear or activity items are packed and ready).
* Follow household systems, instructions, and established routines accurately and consistently.
* Communicate effectively with the family to confirm needs, updates, or changes.
* Be highly responsive, "on it," and able to anticipate needs within the home.
* Maintain full discretion and a professional demeanor at all times.
* Support a busy, active household with reliability and flexibility.
* No cooking is required.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5+ years of professional housekeeping experience in a private home.
* High energy level with the ability to navigate and manage a large home efficiently.
