TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery (L&D) team. This role is vital in providing care for expectant mothers throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases.
Job Responsibilities
* Monitor mothers and babies during labor to assess vital signs, contractions, and fetal well-being.
* Assist obstetricians and midwives during labor, delivery, and cesarean sections.
* Administer medications and monitor patient response, including epidurals and oxytocin.
* Provide physical and emotional support to patients and their families during childbirth.
* Document patient progress and medical interventions accurately and timely.
* Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
* Ensure safety and adherence to infection control, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Current and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
* BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and fetal monitoring certification preferred.
* Proficient in monitoring labor progression and managing high-risk pregnancies.
* Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
* Compassionate approach and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
