Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Travel RN - Postpartum to provide compassionate and specialized care to mothers and newborns after childbirth. The ideal candidate will monitor the recovery of mothers, educate them on newborn care, and ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor and assess postpartum mothers and newborns for any complications
* Provide pain management and postpartum recovery care
* Educate mothers on newborn feeding, diapering, and sleep patterns
* Assist with breastfeeding support and lactation consulting
* Administer medications, IV therapy, and postpartum interventions as needed
* Recognize and address signs of postpartum depression or complications
* Collaborate with OB/GYNs, pediatricians, and lactation consultants
* Support skin-to-skin contact, bonding, and early parenting education
* Ensure proper documentation and patient education before discharge
Requirements:
* Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
* Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience
* BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
* Strong maternal and newborn care skills
* Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced hospital setting
