We are partnering with a non-profit client for a Accountant to join their team. You will be responsible for ensuring proper revenue recognition, preparing moderate to occasionally complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and creating supporting schedules for regulatory compliance and financial reporting. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $87,000 per year.
Job Description:
* Prepare moderate to occasionally complex general ledger journal entries with audit-ready supporting documentation.
* Review and recommend process improvements to enhance internal controls and streamline business processes.
* Facilitate internal and external financial reporting packages following U.S. GAAP.
* Plan and execute regular internal control audits related to key accounting functions.
Requirements:
* GAAP knowledge.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to utilize available resources to determine the best course of action for non-standard transactions.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Intermediate Excel knowledge
Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance.
* 2+ years of accounting experience
