Position Description Quality Inspector

How You Will Make an Impact As a Quality Inspector, you will perform preliminary and in-process inspections of aircraft related components. To excel in this role, applicants should be able to show great attention to detail, possess strong organizational skills, and be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret approved data.

When You Will Work: Monday through Friday, full-time position with flexible 1st shift hours.

Operational Duties

Perform preliminary, in-process and final dimensions inspections

Demonstrate the ability to interpret approved data sch as engineering drawings and specifications.

Documenting inspection results by completing logs and reports

Communicate with production, engineering and quality team

Inspecting aircraft components to verify correct finish, configuration or other measurable or observable characteristics

Performing and recording first article inspections in accordance with standards

Establish quality standards for products according to company procedures

Read blueprints and specifications to ensure that products meet production standards

Recommend necessary adjustments and changes to production processes

Use instruments such as micrometer screw gauges, CMM and RAM optical to measure products

Accept and reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team

Perform inspections at random to assess product quality

Qualifications

Preferred minimum 3 years aerospace manufacturing experience

Knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements and processes

Experience using handheld measuring and testing devices (e.g.; digital multimeter, caliper, micrometers, radius gages, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft office products

Must read, write and understand the English language

Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals

Experience working in a fast pace environment

Previous experience using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement

A strong customer-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt and be flexible

Ability to work with a team and independently

Physical Requirements

In this position you must be able to stand and occasionally sit

Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance

Ability to lift up to 20 to 40 lbs.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
