As part of its growth and development, CMA CGM Benelux is recruiting an Inland Business Development Executive to join its Maintenance & Repair team within the ILS pillar.

ABOUT THE ROLE As

Inland Business Development Executive

you are responsible for developing new intermodal opportunities to expand the network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up new inland projects: depots/trains/barge solutions, etc.

Identify additional interesting inland services and translate these into an internal/external set up.

Analyze current data and match flows (full/empty containers).

Create and present business cases to internal stakeholders.

Translate new setups within the organization and ensure correct implementation.

Set KPIs to assess depots and flows.

Review current setups and determine the best alternative (train, barge, truck).

Frequently participate in network events to stay informed about developments in your network.

Ensure good communication with the headquarters.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Fluency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French and/or German is a plus.

Strong knowledge of intermodal and maritime transport networks, including inland solutions (train, barge, truck) and container logistics.

Solid understanding of logistics service providers and the broader transport ecosystem (transport, logistics, M&R).

Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, flow optimization, KPI definition, and performance monitoring.

Proven ability to develop, evaluate, and present business cases and translate new setups into effective operational implementation.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including headquarters.

Commercial mindset with strong customer orientation and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, demonstrating reliability, resilience, and stress resistance.

Strong relationship-building skills and an active professional network within the ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge, and Rotterdam.

Proficiency in common business software and data tools (e.g. Excel); comfortable working with current technologies and systems.
