Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Contract
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76104
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
* Monday & Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
* Tuesday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $20/hour
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a 13-week contract assignment in a family care clinic setting . The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role involves working closely with providers to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric patients.
Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the last 3 years) as a Certified Medical Assistant in a clinic setting (Family Practice, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine)
* Experience working with pediatric patients
* Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draws
Licenses & Certifications
* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - required
* BLS / BCLS (Basic Life Support / Basic Cardiac Life Support) - required
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preliminary patient assessments, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medications, and chief complaints
* Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits
* Administer medications and vaccines via oral, injection, topical, ophthalmic, rectal, and inhalant routes as ordered
* Draw and process blood samples; prepare specimens for laboratory testing
* Perform routine clinical procedures, including EKGs as required
* Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up to ensure completion
* Accurately document patient information, test results, and clinical findings in the medical record
* Communicate care plans and test results to patients as directed by providers
* Clean, prepare, and sterilize instruments; maintain organized and stocked exam rooms
* Adhere to infection control, safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards
* Protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
* Assist with front-office duties as needed and perform other assigned tasks
