Executive Chef
in a healthcare food service environment, you will oversee all culinary operations for the account, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑focused meal service. You will lead a team of culinary associates, maintain rigorous safety and sanitation standards, and support the development and execution of operational and culinary initiatives in alignment with healthcare regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
Culinary Leadership:
Oversee all culinary functions for the healthcare dining account, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with dietary and regulatory standards. Cost & Budget Management:
Manage cost controls and maintain accountability for all food and supply expenditures. Menu Planning:
Develop, plan, and implement patient, retail, and catering menus that meet healthcare guidelines and operational standards. Inventory & Purchasing:
Oversee purchasing, inventory control, vendor relations, and product utilization to support budget targets and food quality. Program Implementation:
Roll out new culinary programs, service initiatives, and standardized processes in partnership with corporate culinary and marketing teams. Safety & Sanitation:
Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations; maintain sanitation, HACCP, and safety standards throughout all foodservice operations. Team Development:
Lead, coach, and mentor culinary staff to support excellence in production, presentation, and service. Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of Executive Chef experience , preferably within a healthcare system or high‑volume, highly managed operation. Strong background in large‑scale production, institutional cooking, and healthcare dietary environments. Proven success managing cost controls and operational efficiencies in complex foodservice operations.
Education:
Culinary degree preferred (or equivalent experience). Skills:
High‑volume production and catering experience. Strong leadership, communication, and team‑development capabilities. Solid understanding of food trends, menu development, sanitation, food safety, and cost management.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, email systems, and operational technology platforms. Professional Attributes:
