American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology unit caring for complex hematologic diagnoses and mixed acuity patients, requiring at least one year of MS and oncology experience and an OH or compact RN license.
Job Details
- Work on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit specializing in mixed acuity PCU and MS care,
- Patient population includes Acute and Chronic Leukemias, Lymphomas, Myeloma, Amyloidosis, Aplastic Anemia, Myelodysplastic Syndromes, and Myeloproliferative Disorders,
- Perform special procedures such as autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants as well as CAR-T therapy,
- Care involves blood product administration, feeding tube management, and line management (PICC, central, peripheral),
- Three 12-hour shifts per week, with both day and night shifts available,
Job Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license,
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification,
- Minimum one year of experience in medical-surgical and oncology nursing,
- Proficiency in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response activation,
- Experience with blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, and feeding tube management,
- Hematology-Oncology experience strongly preferred,
Additional Information
- Responsible for monitoring telemetry and providing care to patients with hematologic malignancies,
- Expected to participate in stem cell transplant care and manage patients undergoing CAR-T therapy,
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity oncology environment,
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), ONS Chemotherapy, and oncology certification are preferred credentials,
- Standard RTO requests must be provided with initial application,
