Salary: $110,000-$140,000 (Dependent on experience)
Location: Federal Heights, Co. (on-site) Overview The Interim Accounting Manager leads critical financial operations, ensuring accurate month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and grant accounting while maintaining compliance and audit readiness. This interim role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to stabilize, document, and improve financial processes that directly impact organizational performance. Key Responsibilities As the Interim Accounting Manager, you will oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and timely financial reporting.
* Manage grant accounting, including documentation, compliance tracking, and funding requests
* Prepare clear financial statement snapshots for department leaders to support budget accountability
* Identify, analyze, and resolve accounting variances to ensure audit-readiness
* Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and support operational needs during the interim period
Required Skills & Experience
* 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
* Strong reconciliation expertise (bank, general ledger, benefits)
* Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables preferred) and accounting software (Abila or similar)
* Independent, proactive, and an effective communicator
* Collaborative and personable, with the ability to work on-site
