American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Massachusetts with required MA RN license and inpatient OR scrub experience.
Job Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 17 operating rooms,
- Handles surgical services including general, GYN, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine cases,
- Works 12-hour evening shifts, 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.,
- Required to work every third weekend as needed and every other holiday,
- One call shift per schedule period,
- May float to Moakley OR as needed,
- Operates in a Level 1 Trauma environment,
Job Requirements
- Active and current MA RN license required at time of consideration,
- BLS certification required,
- Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient OR experience required,
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital strongly preferred,
- Scrub experience in the operating room required,
- Competency in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties required,
- Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B,
Additional Information
- Must maintain a positive attitude, flexibility, and excellent communication skills,
- Must demonstrate competency in surgical specialties such as neuro and vascular in addition to general, GYN, and GU,
- Holiday rotation required,
- Monthly parking fees may apply for onsite parking,
- Two professional references required including at least one from a manager with recent performance evaluation,
- References from another traveler will not be accepted,
- One reference evaluation must be within 12 months and the other within 3 years,
- First time travelers will be considered,
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers except for sterile processing unit roles,
