Position Summary

The Project Manager - Heavy Civil / Highway Construction will oversee project execution from start to finish, ensuring that goals are met on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards . This role will manage field operations, project teams, and client relationships while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety, cost control, and team leadership .

Key Responsibilities

* Instill Safety as the highest priority across all phases of the project.

* Manage and mentor a team of Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field personnel .

* Track and report project progress, budgets, and resource needs in coordination with Operations Managers.

* Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, engineers, and subcontractors.

* Identify, document, and obtain approvals for changes in project scope, budget, and schedule .

* Oversee monthly billings, cash flow projections, and change order processing .

* Review and update project schedules in coordination with site management.

* Coordinate equipment and staffing requirements with regional and project teams.

* Maintain full knowledge of plans, specifications, and project documentation .

* Represent the company at client meetings, site walks, and progress reviews .

* Ensure consistent communication, proactive problem-solving, and alignment with company policies.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management , Civil Engineering , or related field preferred.

* Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction as a Project Engineer or Project Manager .

* Proven experience managing infrastructure projects involving earthwork, paving, grading, underground utilities, or structures .

* Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and contract administration .

* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills .

* Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

* Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, high-performing team environment.

* Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.
