Temporary Utility Billing Specialist

Carolina PRG is partnering with a growing residential housing company to support their upcoming expansion on a temporary basis.
Temporary - Contract Utility Billing Specialist will provide critical support during a high-volume transitional period. This role will work closely with our third-party utility service provider to ensure accurate and timely transfer of utility accounts, contracts, and billing information for new assets. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with large data sets, and experienced in reviewing, reconciling, and correcting utility billing discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming utility bills and enter them into internal systems accurately.
- Review invoices for discrepancies and resolve billing issues in collaboration with internal teams and third-party supplier.
- Upload and manage large volumes of utility data using Excel or other software.
- Ensure utility account and contract information is transitioned correctly to the third-party supplier.
- Assist with mass data entry and reconciliation during the transition of new assets.
- Maintain accurate records and provide timely reporting on billing and account status.
- Communicate effectively with third-party service providers, internal staff, and management regarding billing issues or discrepancies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in residential or commercial property management is a plus.
- Familiarity with third-party utility management systems.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel capabilities (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data import/export).
