Litigation Associate Attorney (Landlord Tenant Law)

Responsibilities:
* Serve in the best interest of your clients during real estate closings, in real estate disputes, and real estate litigation
* Coordinate detailed due diligence, and inspect title examination, closing binder, and legal documents for legal risk, completion, and accuracy
* Cooperate with city boards and agencies to obtain permits and avoid zoning legal issues
* Negotiate real estate transaction terms and conditions, and facilitate the transfer of title between borrowers, real estate agents, and title company
* Oversee support staff such as paralegals and clerks
* Represent clients in court or before government agencies
* Advise clients on business and legal transactions
* Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
* Comply with all legal standards and regulations
* Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
* Handle residential and commercial landlord-tenant-related disputes with the potential to handle corresponding litigation disputes
Qualifications:
* Outstanding research, negotiation, networking, and communication skills are necessary
* Be a member of your local bar association and hold a current law license in the state
* 3 years of experience as a residential or commercial real estate attorney, as a transactional attorney, or as corporate counsel for a real estate development firm
* A Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required
* Relevant knowledge of property management, land use, title insurance, business law, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation
