Insurance Defense Attorney
Location: Dallas, TX
Position: Full-Time (Hybrid or In-Office Options Depending on experience)

About the Role
A well-established Dallas litigation firm is seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate has strong litigation experience, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision. This role involves representing insureds and insurance carriers in a broad range of civil matters throughout Texas.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently manage an active litigation docket
* Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions.
* Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
* Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
* Prepare clients, adjusters, witnesses, and experts for depositions and testimony.
* Evaluate claims, assess exposure, and communicate case strategy to carriers and clients.
Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
* Active license with the Texas Bar (in good standing).
* 2-10+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience required.
* Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
* Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills.
* Proven ability to handle a litigation caseload with minimal supervision.
* Professional communication skills with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
* Trial experience is a plus but not required.
