This full-time, permanent position is ideal for a nurse with strong acute care or LTAC experience who is passionate about post-operative care and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven clinical environment. Job specification
* Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to post-surgical patients in an acute inpatient setting.
* Monitor and assess patient recovery, pain management, wound care, and complications.
* Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
* Administer medications, perform necessary treatments, and monitor patient responses.
* Educate patients and families about surgical recovery, discharge planning, and home care instructions.
* Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
* Uphold infection control practices and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
Candidate requirements
* Current Florida RN license or a compact RN license with the requirement to obtain a Florida license within 90 days of hire.
* BLS certification is required.
* Minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience required.
* LTAC experience may be considered instead of traditional acute care.
