American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health Float Pool position in Washington, DC with OASIS E and Homecare Homebase experience required.
Job Details
- Home health setting with float pool assignments,
- Patient caseload includes CHF, diabetes, drain care, urinary catheter, ostomy care, infusion services, central line care, joint replacement, COVID, and palliative cases,
- Minimum of 8 patient visits per day with a 1:1 patient ratio,
- Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule from 8:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday,
- No weekends or holiday shifts required,
- Charting is done using Homecare Homebase with OASIS E documentation,
Job Requirements
- Active DC RN license in hand at time of consideration,
- Current BLS certification required,
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medicare-certified home health experience,
- Experience with OASIS E, Homecare Homebase (HCHB), SBAR, and SOAP charting,
- Proficient in peripheral IV starts and infusion therapy,
- Ability to manage at least 8 home health visits daily,
- Flu vaccination required before start,
- Two recent supervisor references required,
Additional Information
- Provide skilled nursing care and manage a variety of complex cases in a home setting,
- Mileage is reimbursed for all patient visits,
- Dress code includes navy, tan, or white attire,
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
- May encounter COVID-positive patients during assignments,
- A minimum one-year gap is required for returning staff who previously worked for MedStar,
- RTO requests must be included at submission and should not exceed 7 days over a 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks,
- Modules and orientation may be required prior to or during assignment,
