American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a DC license and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Job Details
- Position is in a hospital Cath Lab at a short-term acute care, teaching facility,
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1,
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours (7:00 to 17:30), 40 hours weekly,
- Patient population includes those undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures,
- Experience with Cerner charting system is required,
- Scrubs are provided for this unit,
- Parking is available for a fee,
Job Requirements
- Active DC RN license required at time of consideration,
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required,
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Vascular Lab, or Interventional Radiology is required,
- Skills in central line insertion and management, starting IVs, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, procedural sedation monitoring, ventilator monitoring, and PA lines required,
- BSN is preferred,
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and managing patient care throughout the process,
- Pre-employment modules are required and completed prior to and during orientation,
- First-time travelers with qualifying experience are accepted,
- No RTO is approved for holidays and no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment,
- Time off requests should not exceed 7 days for the 13-week contract,
- Nurses who were previously employed with this health system must have a minimum 1-year gap before returning as a traveler,
- Applicants living within a 60-mile radius are considered local,
- Manager interview may not occur as part of the hiring process,
