Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring an OH or compact RN license and strong PCU/med-surg background.

Job Details

- Work in a Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 1:3-4,

- Rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays are required,

- Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00 to 07:30,

- Travelers must float to different units within the organization as needed,

- Epic EMR is used and Epic experience is required,

- Med-surg nurses will be considered if PCU experience is present,

Job Requirements

- Active OH or compact RN license in hand,

- Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,

- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or med-surg experience required,

- Epic EMR experience required,

- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program,

- Two professional references required, one must be from a manager or formal leadership role,

- Previous travel experience preferred,

Additional Information

- Responsibilities include caring for PCU patients and adapting to various units as needed,

- All candidates must complete fingerprinting as soon as possible after contract signing per Ohio regulations,

- RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed at the time of application and built into the contract,

- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,

- Former employees are eligible after a 6-month gap; current employees at Ohio State University hospitals are ineligible as travelers,

- Rotating holiday coverage is required,
