Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Controller. This position is hybrid, with one day being onsite in their Los Angeles, CA office. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $140,000 to $160,000 per year.

Job Description:

* Lead all day-to-day accounting operations with functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, receivable, payroll accounting, capitalized items, project/fund accounting, and gift/grants administration

* Review financial reporting as required by donor grant agreements

* Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems

* Monitor internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenues, costs, payables, and program budgets and actual expenditures

Requirements:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Effective and persuasive presentation skills

* Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of accounting software systems, project accounting or non-profit accounting software systems and other report-generating software

Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience
