Overview
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join the Trotwood-Madison City Schools Team. Substitute Teachers play a vital role in maintaining continuity of instruction in the absence of regular classroom teachers, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for students across various grade levels and subjects.
Responsibilities
* Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
* Manage classroom behavior to foster a safe and respectful learning environment.
* Follow school policies and procedures, including safety and emergency protocols.
* Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration.
* Maintain accurate records of attendance and other required documentation.
* Support students with special needs or accommodations as outlined in lesson plans or IEPs.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
* High School Diploma
* Valid substitute teaching certification or license (as required by the state of Ohio)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage a classroom and engage students effectively.
* Flexibility to work on short notice and in various school settings.
* Knowledge of instructional techniques and classroom management strategies.
* Pass a background check and meet all district hiring requirements.
Work Environment
* Temporary, as-needed basis with varying hours and locations within the district.
* Work in diverse classroom settings, ranging from elementary to high school.
* Interaction with students, teachers, and administrative staff in a fast-paced environment.
