Project Manager - Multifamily
Overview:
An established construction company is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead its multifamily construction efforts. This individual will take ownership of complex projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring efficient execution, budget control, and high standards of quality and safety.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day project operations, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Act as the main liaison with builders, field crews, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with framing plans, materials specs, and timelines.
- Collaborate with takeoff, purchasing, and field teams to align labor, material, and delivery needs.
- Lead progress meetings, resolve jobsite issues, and keep all stakeholders informed.
- Track and manage costs throughout the project lifecycle and proactively address overages.
- Train and mentor junior staff, including Assistant PMs and field support personnel.
- Review and respond to RFIs, coordinate material substitutions, and verify scope alignment.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 10 years of experience managing wood-framing projects in the multifamily space (garden-style, wrap, mid-rise, etc.).
- Strong command of project delivery from preconstruction through final walkthroughs.
- Capable of managing multiple jobs while maintaining schedule, quality, and cost controls.
- Proven experience working with general contractors and subcontractor partners.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting construction documents, material lists, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to mentor, train, and guide others.
