Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base pay rate of $36.00 to $40.00 per hour .
Job Responsibilities:
* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
* Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather and verify financial data.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of accounting experience in both public and corporate environments.
* Understand U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks thoroughly.
* Use accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP proficiently.
* Apply strong attention to detail and organizational skills in daily tasks.
* Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Possess a CPA license or be actively pursuing CPA certification.
* Exhibit strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
* Adapt to fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
* Bring a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
