Job Summary
As a Medical Special Precautions Nurse at SJHMC, you will lead nursing care for telemetry patients requiring advanced precautions, in a 10‑bed unit. Your role ensures safe, evidence‑based care for patients with critical conditions and other service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.
Responsibilities
Provides comprehensive, safe, evidence‑based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with patient needs and comfort.
Demonstrates accountability for ethical behavior, supporting ethical practice by addressing and escalating issues.
Advocates for patients’ needs, demonstrating holistic care practices.
Recognizes and adapts to changes in patients’ condition (labs, vitals, signs, test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing school, upon hire.
Registered Nurse license in Arizona, upon hire.
Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.
Preferred
One year recent acute‑care experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Location St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona.
Pay Range $35.00 – $58.63 per hour.
