ABOUT LPS PROJECTS GROUP The Lifecycle Performance Services Projects department, established in 2018, manages the implementation of projects under the Lifecycle Performance Services (LPS) division. Our focus is on improving the efficiency of our clients' sortation and distribution centers through optimizations, additions, retrofits, and upgrades. We have expertise in various equipment including automated sorters, singulators, gappers, extendable نوش? conveyors, and transport conveyors. Our projects range from small equipment replacements to full subsystem installations. We serve a diverse range of companies in the logistics and warehouse distribution/fulfillment industries.
JOB SUMMARY: The Mechanical Project Engineer is part of a cross discipline project team responsible for the successful and on time completion of conveyor upgrade and system integration projects. They work closely with project managers, electrical and controls engineers, installation teams, permit specialists, and various support roles.
The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for the successful execution of all mechanical engineering tasks on a project. These include engineering schedule, concept design, equipment manifests, equipment and material selection, creating material requisitions and securing bids in support of procurement, creation of installation drawings, field support, project documentation, and overall adherence to customer and governing agency specifications. The Mechanical Project Engineer will, in most cases, be assigned a team of either in house or subcontracted designers to support the creation of installation drawings and other various tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing the engineering schedule
Developing conceptual system designs
Creating equipment manifests
Selecting specific equipment and materials
Procuring materials through the creation of requisitions and securing bids
Organizing, creating, and reviewing installation drawings
Providing engineering support on-site or over the phone
Ensuring the completeness of all mechanical project documentation
Adhering to customer and governing agency specifications
Leading and managing a team of in-house or subcontracted designers to support the creation of installation drawings and other tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required.
(3+) years of experience in material handling equipment design for parcel or distribution and fulfillment, or (2+) years of experience leading mechanical engineering project teams.
Willingness to travel-generally up to 10%.
Knowledgeable and experienced with Autodesk suite - AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, Recap, Navisworks, and BIM.
Passionate about the development of team members and facilitating a cohesive team environment.
Ability to think critically, prioritize tasks, and creatively solve problems.
Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite. – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
The base salary range for this role is $66,100 to $99,200. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
