Role Description This is an on-site role based in La Junta, CO, for a Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapist will assess, treat, and educate patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions. Daily tasks include administering respiratory therapies, monitoring patient responses, operating and maintaining respiratory equipment, and active collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role may also include care for neonatal and critical care patients and requires adherence to the highest professional and ethical standards. There is opportunity to learn additional skill sets in cardiopulmonary diagnostics such as holter monitoring, mobile cardiac telemetry, stress testing and pulmonary function testing.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Cardiopulmonary and Respiratory Therapy practices
Experience with Neonatal Intensive Care and critical care respiratory procedures
Knowledge of Medicine and its applications in respiratory care
Strong skills in patient assessment, problem-solving, and treatment planning
Ability to operate and manage respiratory devices and technology effectively
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) minimum, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Current ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
Previous experience in a hospital setting is a plus, but not required.
