Night Stocker – H‑E‑B
H‑E‑B is looking for hardworking, night‑owl partners to keep our stores stocked and organized while the world sleeps. Your energy, stamina, and focus on quality and customer service are essential to our success.
Responsibilities
Stock shelves, refill displays, and load/unload vehicles as needed.
Maintain product presentation and rotate items according to dates and labels.
Keep department clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and leadership direction.
Comply with federal, state, and company regulations for food safety.
Work efficiently with a team attitude and meet productivity standards.
Accept and apply constructive feedback.
Potentially coach or train other stockers.
Provide excellent customer service by welcoming shoppers and answering product questions.
Qualifications
Minimum 18 years old.
Preferred experience in stocking or customer service.
Experience in a physically demanding job is a plus.
Forklift or power jack training will be provided.
Knowledge of SOPs, emergency procedures, and product handling.
Strong communication, organization, time‑management, and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Availability for overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands
Abilities required for different departments (selected highlights):
Grocery
– lift 50 lbs, bend, reach up to waist, and withstand loud noise.
Drugstore
– lift 66 lbs, work at waist height, and maintain safety in a busy environment.
Dairy
– lift 86 lbs, work in cold temperatures, and handle frequent standing and bending.
Other departments have similar requirements but adjusted weight limits.
