Summary The Ultrasound Technologist is fully competent to perform all diagnostic ultrasound procedures for the diagnosis of specified diseases or conditions.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and vascular sonography.
Demonstrate technical skills and expertise in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, compassionate patient care, and effective communication with patients of all ages.
Maintain current AHA CPR certification through Cape Fear Valley Training and Development department.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including use of personal protective equipment and handling of potentially infectious materials.
Respond to emergency situations and provide care based on the patient’s developmental needs.
Qualifications
1 year minimal experience preferred but not required; new graduates may apply if registered or registry eligible.
Registry eligible new graduates must be registered by ARDMS or ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
Must have dexterity, visual acuity, adequate mobility to assume awkward positions, stand for long periods, bend and lift.
Must have strong oral, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must meet physical and interpersonal requirements for patient care.

– American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists
