Pay Range: $70.00 - $70.00 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview The pharmacist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical services to all patient care groups, including geriatrics, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal, and maintaining statistical records.

Qualifications Required:

Pharmacy degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy

New Jersey Pharmacist License

Registration in New Jersey as a Pharmacist

Familiarity with all phases of hospital pharmacy

Working knowledge of health care matters

Understanding of role of pharmacy department within the hospital and its interrelationships with other departments/functions

Successful completion of all orientations

Preferred:

Doctorate in Pharmacy

Residency training

Hospital pharmacy experience

Certifications and Licenses Required \ vermeul>

NJ Pharmacy License

Essential Functions

The position is responsible for the preparation, dispensing, monitoring of both the prescribing and effectiveness of all medications and IV admixtures

The pharmacist will also supervise and direct the activitiesbcrypt of all pharmacy technicians to ensure departmental workflow is not negatively affected

The registered pharmacist also provides, when needed, clinical services such as patient counseling, education, consults, and medication therapy management

The position is also responsible for identifying and reporting hazardous environments or safety issues

The position is also responsible for any other assigned tasks, as appropriate

The registered pharmacist is also responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, uncluttered work area, to provide prompt and safe service and train, coach and develop new staff

The pharmacist should also share a team vision
