Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk – Fred Meyer
As an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk, you will select and gather products for customers' online orders efficiently while maintaining freshness and quality. You will assemble orders, process coupons and payments, load orders into customers' cars when they arrive for pickup, and provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
Responsibilities
Select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
Initiate and complete the selection process for online orders.
Assemble online orders, process coupons and payments, and deliver and load orders to customers' cars at pickup.
Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers' orders at pickup time.
Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
Read and follow directions given in the note section and store products in optimal temperature zones.
Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond to calls professionally and in a timely manner.
Retrieve each customer's order from all staging locations, load orders into customers' cars, and process orders through the POS system.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to the e-Commerce supervisor.
Inspect equipment and notify store Pick-Up supervisor of items in need of repair.
Perform required opening and closing procedures.
Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
Meet or exceed productivity standards.
Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment and manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Desired Experience
Experience as a personal shopper or in a production‑oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier.
Minimum Position Qualifications
Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to read shelf tags.
Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Ability to manage conflict cooperatively.
Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
