About The Role We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Part‑Time Bookkeeper to manage the day‑to‑day financial record‑keeping for our company. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, proficiency with accounting software, and a strong understanding of fundamental bookkeeping principles. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated and able to work independently for approximately 10–20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Record day‑to‑day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Process accounts receivable (invoices, deposits, collection management).
Process accounts payable (vendor bills, payments, expense reports).
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.
Process payroll in a timely manner.
Maintain an orderly digital accounting filing system.
Monitor and report on discrepancies.
Interface with Sales and Operations Teams on project specific transactions and reports.
Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
Prepare and generate financial statements and reports (e.g., P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Project Budgets) as requested.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Qualifications Required
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, SOS Inventory.
Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets (MS Excel/Google Sheets) and financial software.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
Excellent data entry and organizational skills.
Preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Certification (e.g., Bookkeeper Certification, QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor).
Experience in the Construction and/or Building Products industry.
Schedule & Hours Hours Per Week: Approximately 10–20 hours per week.
Schedule and remote location: Flexible.
Compensation: $40–50 per hour (commensurate with experience).
Employment Type: Part Time.
