Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Under immediate supervision of the Regional Financial Services Manager and following prescribed departmental, Office and Firm procedures, the Financial Services Specialist is responsible for: assisting with the general operation of the Financial Services Department, including supporting the full-cycle accounts payable process for Dallas and Houston offices; general ledger account review and analysis; cost accounting and approval process; and processing of monthly sales tax reporting. The Specialist will also handle the reconciliation of multiple bank accounts; adding and dissolution of assets; as well as other financial duties as assigned. The Specialist is expected to perform all job duties with a commitment to providing superior service to clients, producing quality work products, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. Above all, the Specialist must fulfill the needs of the Office in a manner which is consistent with the Firm’s visions and values.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred or high school diploma and equivalent experience required.
Minimum of three (3) years professional services accounting experience, and six (6) years overall accounting experience.
Familiarity with financial systems and programs such as Aderant, Emburse, Cognos, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
