Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Oversee tool builds and engineering changes within Company tool rooms and at outside vendors.
Prioritize work within the Company tool room and maintaining tooling standards.
Provide quotes for in-house tool room work.
Develop and maintain tooling preventive maintenance program.
Enforce safety rules daily. Noncompliance of safety rules will result in disciplinary action and/or termination. Actively intervene to correct recognized unsafe actions and conditions.
Conduct daily observations of PPE use and safe work practices and coach employees as needed.
Ensure that all accidents including first aid are reported.
Follow all safety guidelines established by this facility daily. Noncompliance to the safety policy will result in disciplinary action and/or termination.
Build credibility through continuous demonstration of safety as a value through personal actions.
Supervise the Tooling Engineer's regarding their tooling- and technology level.
Requirements
7-10 Minimum Years of Experience with Mechanical or Process Engineering and Injection Molding.
10+ Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Experience in production and tool build.
Activities under Tooling Engineer as needed.
Completion of formal apprenticeship program resulting in a Journeymen Level Tool and Die Maker.
Education
2-Year College Degree
Equivalent work experience may also be considered for this position.
