to join our team at our
Elkton, Maryland
location. The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Elkton, Maryland is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Discover nearby towns, parks, and activities with a coastal lifestyle and scenic views. Responsibilities
Perform mechanical or electronic inspection on manufactured/purchased components and assemblies. Visually inspect for defects and verify parts or materials meet specified requirements. Create inspection reports as needed from drawings or inspection plans. Perform mathematical calculations to ensure compliance to inspection criteria. Perform first article inspections from the Machine Shop. Perform in-process inspections, electronic/mechanical inspection and electrical testing on subassemblies and final assemblies in the production area. Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), using PC-DMIS software, including development and maintenance of programs, setup and execution. Be flexible in work skills and daily tasks assigned. Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to support Second Shift schedule. The selected candidate will receive approximately 6 months of training on a First Shift schedule. Ability to obtain a United States Government Secret security clearance, for which US citizenship is a prerequisite. Salary: Primary Level Salary Range: $43,700.00 - $72,900.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Benefits and additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long-term incentives where applicable. Northrop Grumman provides health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
