Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Overview Right Trailers, Inc. is a well‑known, established, and highly reputable company, currently in the trailer sales and service industry. We are looking to hire at least one exceptional candidate to join our team and assist in the development of a fully engineered, high end, professional level, aluminum race trailer manufacturing program. The preferred candidate must work well with a team and will be highly self‑motivated, punctual, goal‑oriented, organized, methodical, and meticulous with a high drive and desire to succeed.

Required

High School Diploma.

BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Full proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2021 or later versions).

Full proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

Excellent written, verbal, and collaborative communications skills.

Ability to turn CAD models into shop drawings to be used in manufacturing.

Generate and verify BOMs.

Ability to craft technical documents such as user’s manuals and service manuals.

Proficiency in Kinematics, Statics and Dynamics.

High level of proficiency in FEA Analysis of mechanical parts and subassemblies, as well as large welded structural systems.

Knowledge/experience in electrical (both low voltage and high voltage) systems, wiring harness design and specification, and components.

Knowledge/experience in mechanical systems incorporating hydraulic power transmission.

Experience with sheet metal product design.

Preferred

Experience in a manufacturing/shop environment including welding, fabrication, and construction.

Experience in the trailer and/or RV industry.

Experience with CAD/CAM software for machines such as laser and turret punch.

Experience with weld callouts and/or weld maps.

Knowledge of, or experience with aluminum extrusions.

Knowledge of, or experience with MRP or ERP manufacturing software.

Knowledge of, or experience with NFPA codes.

Knowledge of, or experience in workplace safety/OSHA regulations.

Job functions may include

Design, CAD modeling, and analysis of mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems & assemblies.

FEA of large assemblies and subassemblies, for both static and dynamic loading conditions, and documentation of results.

Analyze products for fatigue failure and product life cycle.

Design and integration of electrical systems and/or components.

Generate part numbers using a consistent internal part numbering convention.

Generate shop drawings of products/assemblies designed.

Generate manuals for products to be manufactured.

Ensure compliance of products to be manufactured with all applicable codes (such as NFPA and NEC), regulations, and any third‑party certification requirements (such as NATM or RVIA).

Assist in manufacturing flow and processes, plant layout and design.

Identify and assist with solutions for production efficiency and manufacturing flow deficiencies.

Identify products to be used for manufacturing and work with vendors to obtain details and/or CAD models of products to identify suitability and/or compliance and incorporate these products in our product designs.

Enter BOM, process, and product information into MRP or ERP system.

Other engineering related tasks, including, but not limited to, engineering and design work for external customers.
