This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position You will serve as a Civil Engineer in the Site and Building Design Branch, Engineering Division of the Middle East District.
Duties
Provide technical engineering support by interpreting design standards, identifying deficiencies, and recommending corrective measures.
Develop original plans, design analyses and specifications for complex civil engineering features of design work.
Prepare and present engineering reports, summarizing findings and recommendations on technical issues.
Draft technical specifications, design criteria and drawings in conjunction with designs. This includes plan layouts, design computations, selection of materials, components and equipment to be incorporated in the design.
Requirements
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
