Paint Technician - Night Shift
Machine Specialties, Inc. (MSI) is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company located in Whitsett, NC. Position: Paint Technician – Hourly, Night Shift (Monday‑Thursday, 5:00 pm to 5:00 am) with a 15% shift premium. Reporting to the Paint Department Manager, the role maintains production and quality standards. Responsibilities
Maintain production according to the production schedule and quality procedures. Apply paint tools and techniques to achieve manufacturer tolerances. Perform proper masking techniques and applications. Use a crane for heavier loads and lift up to 35 lbs. Work in a standing environment for 8–10 hours per day. Work 45+ hours per week, with occasional weekend work. Meet deadlines while working under minimal supervision. Troubleshoot and problem‑solve painting issues. Maintain safety, mask, and procedure compliance. Document work and collaborate with teammates. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required). 2–3 years of painting experience, preferably on machined parts or components. Experience in Aerospace manufacturing preferred. Technical education in Paint or Collision Repair (preferred). Mechanical aptitude; ability to work independently. Current good analytical and detail‑oriented skills. Requirements
Ability to spray to desired or manufacturer tolerances. Good masking technique knowledge. Comfortable operating a crane for heavier loads. Willingness to work 45+ hours/week with occasional weekend duty. Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Machine Specialties, Inc. by 2x.
