Job Title
Orthopaedic Technician (Ortho Tech) – West Des Moines, IA
Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic Ortho Tech to assist our physicians and support patients during orthopedic appointments. This role is Monday‑Friday full‑time (40 hrs per week) with occasional Saturday coverage (8 AM‑12 PM) every 6‑8 weeks.
Responsibilities
Remain on your feet most of the day greeting and preparing patients for their orthopaedic appointment. Serve as the patient’s guide, assisting with casting, cast removal, and wound care.
Reach, stoop, and walk while assisting patients during appointments.
Collaborate with a close‑knit team of professionals who work closely with our doctors to deliver exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Listen attentively, ask questions, and avoid interrupting.
Calm: Ability to provide reassurance when patients are nervous.
Independent worker: Focused and self‑motivated, knowing when to seek help.
