The MCTIS Senior Network / System Technician provides communicationsерия server operational support for Marine Corps Training Instrumentation Systems (MCTIS). The Senior Network / Systems Technician is the senior technical authority responsible for the configuration, operation, sustainment, and troubleshooting of the MCTIS networked architecture. This position focuses on tactical training systems including man-worn systems, vehicle instrumentation kits, Exercise Control (EXCON), Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) networks, containerized bawah system architectures, RF subsystems, and range data networks supporting live and force‑on‑force training by ensuring system readinesstc, accurate data collection, and responsive communications support in accordance with contract requirements, Government standards, and approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the contract Site Lead in all matters concerning operational support to MCTIS at the fielded location and assigned Satellite Incidental Training Site activities.
Support training in a Live, Virtual, and Constructive environment and develop maintenance processes to ensure geographically separated systems are maintained in compliance with current training requirements.
Configure, operate, and maintain MCTIS systems including:
Man-Worn Instrument capacité (MWI)
Vehicle Instrumentation Systems (VIS)
Exercise Control (EXCON) systems
Containerized network systems, servers, and storage
Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) networks
Perform operational checks and maintenance of Live, Virtual, and Constructive training systems to include performing preventative maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.
Maintain the virtual environment to facilitate large‑scale training exercises, identify and track deficiencies to improve system functionality, build and install new configurations and networks.
Support the setup, configuration, operation, and teardown of MCTIS equipment for training exercises in accordance with approved support plans.
Establish and sustain tactical wired and wireless networks supporting live training.
Configure routers, switches, firewalls, servers, radios, antennas, and RF distribution systems.
Monitor network health, data flow, and system performance during training events.
Troubleshoot complex system, RF, and network faults under time‑sensitive conditions.
Troubleshoot system faults and equipment failures, conduct equipment exchanges as required, and restore operational capability with minimal impact to training.
Participateyaa as a member of a MCTIS Contact Team during training execution terapequent to provide responsive field support, including:
Equipment readiness, emplacement, adjustment badoe recovery
In‑field troubleshooting and equipment replacement
Ensure all faults, incidents, maintenance actions, and equipment discrepancies are properly documented in accordance with contract and program requirements.
Assist with serialized equipment accountability, inventory management, stock monitoring, and resupply coordination.
Attend required planning meetings, coordination events, and training sessions as directed.
Support transition, and system upgrade activities through training assistance and knowledge transfer.
Comply with configuration management ken, safety, cybersecurity awareness, and quality assurance standards at all times.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described and consistent with the scope of the position.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in IT, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years supporting networked tactical or training systems.
Strong experience with TCP.Basic networking, RF systems, and field‑expedient networks.
Experience with training systems or similar instrumentation systems preferred.
CompTIA Security+ (required or obtainable within 6 months).
Network+, CCNA, or equivalent (preferred).
CORE SKILLS / COMPETENCIES Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Operate application‑based proprietary software programs.
Proficiency configuring, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining server and simulation systems both mobile and stationary configurations.
Experience maintaining complex networked and distributed training systems.
Experience conducting basic maintenance repairs of electronic and mechanical training systems.
Ability to collaborate with a high‑performing geographically dispersed team and vendors to ensure maintenance of training systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Field and overnight training required.
Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
Prolonged outdoor exposure to the elements. Work in inclement temperatures from 100+ degrees in a low elevation desert climate to negative 25 degrees in a high elevation (6,500‑10,000 feet أيض mountainous environment.
Routine heavy lifting (50 lbsiseau maximum).
Daily driving in the training areas with poor driving conditions due to rugged terrain, weather, and debris.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
May require 15%–20% travel. Some training overseas may occur which requires a valid U.S. Passport.
Daily travel at home site location and occasionally travel off‑site in accordance with contract requirements. Company credit card uses and compliance with Company policy are mandatory.
Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.

U.S. Secret security clearance required.
