Hotel Maintenance Assistant – Part Time
Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC is seeking a Part‑Time Maintenance Assistant for the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites near Universal Orlando (5605 Major Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819). The role focuses on cleaning, maintenance, and pool operations in a 184‑room hotel located within walking distance to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and CityWalk.
Working primarily PM shifts, this position offers a starting rate of $18.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
Basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
Maintain all fixtures and equipment in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule and record maintenance in log books as required by BLA and the hotel brand.
Maintain and service pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as required by state and local regulations.
Clean internal building areas, sweeping, mopping, and garbage removal; maintain cleanliness of public and storage areas and the parking lot.
Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in hotel maintenance/engineering, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills. Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs; reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist. Valid driver’s license required.
