Structured Cabling Technician
Location: Plainview, NY (Plainview, Plainview, NY) – This is a contract position based out of Plainview, NY.
About the Role We’re looking for experienced Structured Cabling Technicians to join our dynamic team for multiple projects across Nassau County, NY. If you have a passion for delivering high‑quality voice and data cabling solutions and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, this is the opportunity for you!
What You’ll Do
Install and terminate Cat6 cables following industry standards.
Run and terminate voice and data cabling efficiently.
Follow low‑voltage network cabling instructions and manufacturer guidelines.
Collaborate with lead technicians for seamless execution.
Maintain quality and safety standards on every job.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in structured cabling and telecommunications.
Skilled with power and hand tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
OSHA 30 and SST certifications (required).
Dependable, professional, and committed to excellence.
Available to work Monday‑Friday.
Key Skills
Cable installation and termination (Cat5, Cat6).
Use of cable trays, J‑hooks, and cable runways.
Wire management and structured cabling best practices.
Testing and troubleshooting telecommunications infrastructure.
