A reputable law firm in Towson, Maryland is seeking an experienced
Civil Litigation Attorney
to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate will have proven experience handling civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy. This role offers the opportunity to step into meaningful case work, collaborate with seasoned attorneys, and contribute to a dynamic legal team.
Base Pay Range $120,000 – $160,000 per year
Responsibilities
Manage civil litigation cases from initial intake through trial or settlement
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Conduct and defend depositions, mediations, and court hearings
Perform legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and legal opinions
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts regularly
Work collaboratively with partners and team members to strategize and develop case plans
Maintain organized files, deadlines, and case documentation
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in Maryland required
3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred
Strong research, writing, and courtroom skills
Ability to manage cases independently with attention to detail
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service skills
