About This Role We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will:

Provide electrical support for the design, integration, and maintenance of electrical systems on a variety of technologies, ranging from land robotics to unmanned air systems for commercial and military programs in a fast‑paced environment. These systems are experimental and cutting‑edge technological advancements that are intended to protect the warfighter in various theaters as well as provide civil support to many commercial applications. This individual will have an opportunity to travel, execute experimental military and civil hardware testing, and grow in their role. The position involves supporting lab operations of component integration, modifications, assembly and test, of ground vehicles, air vehicles, and surface vessels. The individual must be willing to support at remote test sites to include serving as a crew chief, safety lookout, and support and maintenance crew member during field testing. The individual must be able to work from assembly documentation (i.e. work instructions, drawings etc.), parts lists, and diagrams to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components. May assemble by hand or operate semi‑automatic assembly equipment. Operates electronic and mechanical test equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and operate unmanned systems and support equipment

Troubleshoot electronic and general electrical systems

Assist engineers and designers with prototype development and testing

Support off‑site testing and demonstrations

Actively perform lab maintenance, safety audits, and material tracking

Use small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers

Identify and document work order instruction or drawing errors

Maintain logbooks and records

Strong ability to interpret drawings and schematics

This position does not directly provide leadership or supervision to other employees

Qualifications

Associate’s degree preferred or related technical training and 2 or more years of experience

Basic knowledge of procedures and technical theory in assigned product areas

General electrical aptitude and the ability to be certified in IPC standards

Willing to travel up to 25% with international travel possible

Basic computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheets, database & technical drawing packages

Ability to organize and set up tests with minimal guidance

Effective written and oral communication skills

Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance

Must be a team player and able to work with minimum supervision

Unmanned systems knowledge/experience preferred

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Ability to work extended hours to meet program goals

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Ability to work on naval vessels

Ability to work in tight quarters and confined spaces

Working knowledge of military specifications is a plus

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. Benefits may include health insurance and prescription plan coverage, dental insurance, family building benefits, vision insurance, mental health resources, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and programs that provide employees time away from work. The pay range for this position is $52,300 - $78,800 per year.
