Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience, with a strong background in litigation defense. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and meaningful matters while developing professionally within a collegial firm culture.
Key Responsibilities
Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Draft and respond to written discovery, motions, and legal memoranda
Conduct and defend depositions
Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials as needed
Assist with case strategy development and client counseling
Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff
Manage cases efficiently while maintaining high‑quality work product
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar
Two (2) or more years of litigation experience required
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
