Summary

Act as the face of the company to patients during health routine or life‑defining health decisions.

Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.

Engage patients to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and safely collecting specimens.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality twg accuracy to patient information; assign to doctor’s office, patient service center or other business locations as needed.

Under the area supervisor’s direction, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

Maintain a safe and professional environment.

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

Verify patient demographic info / initials, including patient signature after venipuncture to confirm tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements

Provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.

Work independently with minimal on‑site supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.

Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.

Commit to all policies and procedures, including company dress code, employee health & safety, and everyday excellence principles.

Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.

Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record when applicable.

Travel and work flexible hours to cover multiple locations, including patient service center and in‑office phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.

Handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.

Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; accelerate and embrace change; and possess knowledge of our business.

Training location may vary based on trainer availability.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

1–3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

2 years in a patient service center environment preferred.

Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.
