The company nurse is responsible for providing onsite healthcare services to employees, promoting a safe and healthy work environment, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. This role involves assessing and treating injuries and illnesses, conducting health screenings, managing medical records, and educating employees on health and wellness.
Direct Patient Care
Provide first aid and emergency care for workplace injuries and illnesses. Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standing orders. Manage and monitor employees with chronic health conditions. Refer employees to external healthcare providers when necessary. Health and Safety Management
Conduct Pre-employment, Annual Physical Exam, and Return-to-Work health assessments. Implement and manage health promotion and wellness programs. Participate in workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records. Monitor and report on workplace injury and illness trends. Assist in developing and implementing occupational health and safety policies and procedures. Provide vaccination and immunization services. Ensure complete inventory of medicines. Compliance and Documentation
Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation. Prepare reports and statistics on workplace injuries and illnesses. Manage workers' compensation cases and coordinate with insurance providers. Health Education and Counseling
Provide health education and counseling to employees on various health topics, including disease prevention, stress management, and healthy lifestyles. Conduct training on first aid, CPR, and other health-related topics. Promote employee wellness and healthy behaviors. Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with management, human resources, and safety personnel to ensure a healthy and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with employees, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. Maintain professional relationships with external medical providers. Administrative
Answering and directing phone calls, emails, and inquiries. Maintaining calendars and managing schedules of executives. Employee engagement assistance to HRAD team. Assistance to billing report while the Admin Officer is on leave. Qualifications
Must be a graduate of Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). With at least 1 year experience as a company nurse. Must have an administrative work background. Experience in occupational health nursing or related field is preferred. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Computer proficiency.
