Job Overview
The Company Nurse (Registered Nurse with HR Background) is responsible for providing medical and occupational health services to employees while supporting HR operations and employee welfare programs. This role ensures compliance with occupational health and safety standards and assists in various HR functions, including employee relations, documentation, and wellness initiatives. Key Responsibilities
A. Medical and Health Services
Provide immediate medical attention and first aid to employees in cases of illness or workplace accidents. Conduct health assessments, basic treatment, and necessary medical referrals. Maintain and update accurate employee medical records and ensure confidentiality of health information. Monitor medical supplies, clinic inventory, and ensure readiness of emergency medical kits. Assist in the coordination of annual physical examinations and vaccination programs.
B. Human Resources Support
Assist in HR administrative functions such as attendance monitoring, leave management, and processing of medical-related benefits (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, HMO). Evaluate and issue fit-to-work clearances based on medical assessments. Participate in HR activities including employee onboarding, orientation, and engagement programs. Help maintain and update employee 201 files, particularly those related to medical or health concerns. Support HR in employee relations by providing guidance on wellness, absenteeism, and work performance related to health.
C. Employee Wellness and Development
Plan and conduct health awareness and wellness programs (e.g., stress management, mental health, hygiene campaigns). Provide counseling and guidance to employees on health and well-being. Promote a culture of safety, health, and wellness across the organization.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) License: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active PRC license Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience as a Company Nurse or Occupational Health Nurse; background or experience in Human Resources (employee relations, HR admin, or documentation) Certifications: Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) for Nurses – preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training – an advantage Working Conditions
Office and clinic-based work environment May handle emergency medical situations on-site Works closely with HR, Safety Officer, and company management
