Eligibility Requirements
Education:
Graduate of an accredited RN program.
Certification/Licensure:
New graduate RNs must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN、生) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Experience:
New Graduate RN if you are about to graduate or have graduated and have less than one year of practice.
Sentara Nurse Residency Program Sentara’s Nurse Residency Program supports the transition from student to professional. Designed for new graduate RNs with less than one year of experience, the program sets up novice nurses for success from day one. Available across all 12 Sentara hospitals, all newly hired novice nurses are automatically enrolled in this 6‑month immersive program that combines practical skills with hands‑on training, professional development, and mentoring, empowering you to confidently transition into your nursing career in one of six areas: Medical‑Surgical nursing, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency Care, the Operating Room, or Women’s Health.
