Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the scenic Shoals. On your days off spend some time fishing and boating on Wilson Lake. Come tour the historical sites, visit Key Cave National Wildlife Refuge, or take a relaxing lake cruise on Wheeler Lake.

Department/Unit Summary We provide a range of procedures for patients 13 years or older, including Colonoscopy (screenings start at 50), EGD (upper endoscopy), Bronchoscopy (airway inspection), ERCP (for diagnosing illnesses to removing stones in bile duct), and Sigmoidoscopy (shorter version of colonoscopy). In addition, Bravo 48‑hour PH Monitoring, Esophageal Manometry (measure esophageal function), and Pillcam Small Bowel studies are also performed. There are a range of therapeutic options we can use with these procedures, such as APC (argon plasma coagulation), Clips, Stents, Dilators, injections, tattooing (tumors) and banding.

How You'll Contribute You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan‑of‑care intervention and serving as a patient‑care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting‑edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Qualifications And Requirements Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

Associate's Degree in Nursing required

1 to 2 years of experience preferred

Must have an active AL or Compact RN License

Must have BLS, ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire

What You Will Do

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
